Faculty Position in Anthropology

Concordia University Irvine invites applications for a full-time faculty member as Professor of Anthropology (at appropriate rank) beginning January 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship in the discipline of anthropology or a related field.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses that serve the department and possibly CUI's Enduring Questions and Ideas Curriculum (Q&I)
  • Fulfill roles in advising, mentoring, assessment, program recruitment, and university service
  • Contribute to the department's mission, purpose, and objectives
Qualifications
  • Broad-based, doctoral degree (PhD preferred) in anthropology with experience in teaching and research
  • MA/MS in anthropology is acceptable with proper professional experience
Appointment

The position is a full-time position in Anthropology that will require being on the Irvine campus and comes with full rights as a full-time faculty member.

The faculty will be expected to participate in events related to the major and department, as well as other programs on campus, including convocations and requirements of full-time faculty with respect to service to the Institution, the Academy, as well as to the church and community.
