Key Responsibilities- Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for visits, and accurately obtain and record vital signs.
- Assist providers with exams, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic treatments as requested.
- Perform EKGs, prepare laboratory requests, and ensure accurate labeling and recording of specimens.
- Administer vaccines (if certified) and maintain professional certification.
- Update patient service profiles, answer and screen calls, and perform clerical duties as needed.
- Communicate with outside agencies and ensure timely follow-up with patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
- Massachusetts Certified Medical Assistant Certification is required.
- Medical office experience and electronic medical records experience are a plus.
