Our Global Chemicals division is experiencing significant growth. This division was established through various acquisitions and offers a comprehensive range of analytical reagents and discovery chemicals to support Thermo Fisher's core research markets globally. The Global Chemicals sector has been identified as a key growth area for the company, with opportunities for expansion in the US, Europe, and emerging markets, particularly in Asia. Global Chemicals operates 14 facilities across the US, Europe, and Asia, distributing a substantial portion of its products through Thermo Fisher's customer channels in major Western markets.

Shift: Mid Shift - 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

A Day in the Role:
  • Support various areas within and outside the facility.
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment.
  • Utilize PIT to collect interior and exterior waste.
  • Safely manage the cardboard baler.
  • Regularly clean surfaces in work areas.
  • Maintain the exterior of the building, including walkways and parking areas.
  • Restock and manage 5S carts and supply stations.
  • Oversee assigned Total Preventative Maintenance tasks.
  • Dispose of damaged pallets.
  • Propose cleaning and organization improvements to management.
  • Operate sit-down trucks as needed for material movement.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown.
Keys to Success:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous warehouse experience, including RF scanning and forklift operation, is preferred.
  • Experience in a chemical environment is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Comfortable working with hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to alternate between seated and standing positions as required.
