Essential Qualifications
  • Education: A graduate from an accredited institution for Respiratory Care is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of four years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in an acute care environment is essential. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the relevant state.
  • Key Skills: Demonstrates leadership qualities such as active listening, fulfilling commitments, supporting organizational goals, effective communication, soliciting feedback, making equitable decisions, sharing knowledge, treating all individuals with respect, selecting competent staff, and fostering a collaborative environment.
