Job Summary

We are seeking experienced IR Technologists to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an IR Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures.
  • Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, providing reassurance and support as needed.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure patient and operator safety.
  • Interpret examination requests accurately, utilizing knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
  • Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage patient data.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as an IR Technologist.
  • BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications.
  • Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI), and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
