Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team at LF Staffing Services, Inc. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip safety inspections to ensure assigned tractor-trailer meets all safety requirements.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and use the most time-efficient routes with the dispatch team.
  • Assist operators with loading and unloading equipment onto the tractor-trailer bed, utilizing rigging techniques and crane to safely load the equipment.
  • Partner with an assigned Equipment Technician to safely deliver and retrieve equipment, identifying hazards and working together to find solutions.
  • Develop knowledge of core product lines and answer customer questions regarding products and equipment.
  • Utilize Kaizala to take pictures of equipment upon delivery and pick-up, notating damages on paperwork and communicating to the branch.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid and clean commercial Class A Driver's License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Crane certification preferred, but will be trained for crane certified operations
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' experience driving a flatbed truck & trailer combination
  • Familiarity with semi-trailers and full trailers, air brake systems, and ability to operate a thirteen-speed transmission
  • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hydraulic equipment, and construction background
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
  • Computer knowledge desired
