As a Radiology Imaging Specialist at Catholic Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in enhancing diagnostic imaging processes and contributing to research initiatives in radiopharmacy and imaging methodologies. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high standards of clinical practice and staying abreast of technological advancements in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic imaging procedures.
- Engage in research activities related to Radiopharmacy and imaging techniques, collaborating with the Medical Director and Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operate and maintain Gamma Scintillation Detection equipment, performing quality control assessments on all devices and radiopharmaceutical kits.
- Calibrate equipment and perform high voltage adjustments, alongside computer process analysis and programming.
- Conduct routine warm-up and quality checks on imaging machinery.
- Provide technical training and administrative support, ensuring accurate inventory management of radioactive and non-radioactive substances, while adhering to waste disposal regulations.
Work Schedule:
32 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Participation in an on-call duty rotation is required to ensure continuous coverage in Nuclear Medicine.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- An Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a recognized certification program.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current CNMT, ARRT-N, and/or CAMRT credentials, with a commitment to ongoing education.
- Licensure in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy.
- IV Certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
