Job Description

Job Title: Adjunct Faculty Position

Department: Design/Technical Department

Job Summary: DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the Design/Technical Department
  • Develop and implement curriculum in accordance with departmental and university standards
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities

Requirements:

  • M.F.A., PhD or equivalent professional experience in the subject area to be taught
  • Equivalent professional experience would be at least 10 years of professional experience or 5 years of professional experience and an undergraduate degree in a related field
  • A commitment to teaching is required; teaching experience on the college level is strongly desired
  • Ongoing activity in the relevant field is also desired
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working in a diverse learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in a higher education setting
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
