We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Northgate Markets. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area and surrounding areas
- Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash and balancing the register
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
