Position Summary: We are currently in search of a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to enhance our Sensor Systems division. This role will be pivotal in steering the technical trajectory of our radar initiatives and shaping the development of future radar systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and evaluation of advanced signal and data processing technologies.
  • Develop algorithms and electronic protection strategies while serving as a primary liaison with upper management and clients.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and management.
  • Engage in various radar technologies, including:
    • Doppler radar
    • Continuous Wave (CW) radar
    • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
    • Foliage/Obstruction Penetrating radar (FOPEN/OPEN)
    • Air Surveillance
    • Counter Battery and Counter UAS systems
  • Collaborate with Department of Defense customers and industry partners to define system capabilities for upcoming radar systems.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including creating marketing materials, white papers, and proposals.
  • Lead the development of radar systems by defining requirements, architecture, and design.
  • Conduct simulations, models, and data analysis for Electronic Warfare and Countermeasures systems.
  • Perform trade studies and risk assessments to identify innovative solutions for customer missions.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in radar engineering.
  • Plan and execute training programs to enhance the radar engineering skill set within the team.
  • Support functional leadership by being an approachable technical leader within the Systems Engineering group.
  • Some travel may be required to support field tests and customer engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in radar system design and development.
  • Proven experience in technical training and mentoring.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, system development schedules, and performance specifications.
  • Proficiency in analysis and algorithm development using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
  • Expertise in traditional Systems Engineering processes, including requirements analysis and risk management.

Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for access to classified information up to the TS-SCI level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and System Modeling Language (SysML).
