About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team at Donovan Construction Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate assembly and installation of structural components.

Main Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine the correct method for building items to design specifications.
  • Cut and shape metal to precise measurements, using tools such as grinders and jacks.
  • Install metal pieces by hand and with the aid of various tools, ensuring accurate alignment.
  • Lift and maneuver heavy metal pieces into place using hoists and cranes.
  • Weld metal pieces together, utilizing proper safety equipment and techniques.
Qualifications
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Mastery of mathematical skills to translate blueprints into physical metal pieces.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow precise plans and assemble structures as designed.
  • Mechanical aptitude and skills to work with various tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, welding tools, measuring tools, and lifting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with our team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in shifts or overtime as needed.
