Job Opportunity for Occupational Therapist

Soliant is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school-based setting. As a contract OT, you will work with students in Newnan, GA, to provide essential services and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students' medical history, interview them, and observe their performance of various tasks
  • Assess student progress toward goals defined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Propose appropriate goals for new referrals and recommend OT services in support of those goals
  • Help students fine-tune or relearn daily living tasks
  • Demonstrate exercises or recommend activities at home to support children with physical disabilities or gross and fine motor skill development
  • Evaluate the school environment to identify potential accessibility improvements
  • Educate students' families about accommodating and caring for them
  • Recommend special equipment and instruct clients and families on its use
  • Assess and record student activities and progress for evaluations or billing
Requirements:
  • Georgia Occupational Therapist license
  • Prior experience with pediatrics preferred
