Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain vital signs, and review patient information in preparation for appointments with providers.
  • Administer diagnostic tests and procedures, such as immunizations, under the supervision of licensed medical providers.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and quality patient care, updating the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with relevant information.
  • Schedule patient appointments, answer phone calls, and follow up with patients/families in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in site-specific and clinic-wide initiatives, attend team meetings, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • 6-12 months of experience in a clinical setting or relevant courses taken at an accredited vocational school, or a combination of both required.
  • Medical assistant certification/license preferred (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, EMT, or LPN).
  • Prior EMR experience preferred.
  • CPR and basic life support required and maintained.
