Job Title: Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery Expert

About the Role

We are seeking an expert Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Surgery team at Texas Health Resources. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies and at least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant. You will be responsible for performing history and physical exams on new and established patients, consulting with supervising physicians as needed, and initiating appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience.

You will also provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician, document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines, and communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health-related questions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • PA certification and licensure in good standing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
