UC San Diego Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical PCU at Hillcrest Medical Center. As a Magnet designated organization, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide autonomous nursing care to patients, exercising independent judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
- RN License issued by the State of California.
- BLS/CPR or BART and ACLS certifications at time of hire.
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care RN experience at the PCU, IMU, or step-down level of care or higher acuity.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
