We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Libertyville, Illinois.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care and coordinate patient treatment plans. Key responsibilities include administering respiratory procedures and modalities, operating specialized ventilators, and educating patients on proper techniques.
Responsibilities- Administer respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues.
- Provide medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient driven respiratory protocols (PDRP's).
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Educate and instruct patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess:
- An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- No experience required.
- Demonstrated effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making for patient care and equipment use.
