Mainframe Developer Job Description

At Diverse Lynx LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to lead and manage our onsite mainframe team for batch support and enhancement projects. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience in mainframe technologies, with a focus on batch support and enhancement. Proven experience in the manufacturing domain is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe tools and technologies. They will also possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the onsite mainframe team for batch support and enhancement projects.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of batch processes.
* Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs to ensure timely and accurate completion.
* Implement enhancements to improve the efficiency and reliability of batch processes.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management.

Requirements:

* 7 to 10 years of experience in mainframe technologies, with a focus on batch support and enhancement.
* Proven experience in the manufacturing domain is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe tools and technologies.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of modernization techniques for legacy systems.
