Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Charge Nurse to join our team at CHSGa. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Assess and document patient condition to ensure accurate and timely care.
    • Operate oxygen equipment, suction machines, and other medical devices as needed.
    • Administer medications, including insulin and narcotic medications, and document administration.
    • Provide wound care, including application of sterile dressings and use of pressure reduction surfaces.
    • Collect lab specimens and interpret results.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Provide oversight and direction to unlicensed nursing personnel.
    • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in coordinating care planning and committee meetings.
    • Participate in patient screening and selection process.
    • Maintain effective lines of communication with attending physicians.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Complete documentation procedures on patients, including use of forms and timelines.
    • Ensure accurate and timely billing of supplies used.
    • Comply with established procedures for receiving and storing medications.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and visitors.
    • Provide warm and friendly greetings and approachable attitude.
    • Respond to expressed concerns in a professional manner.
    Requirements
    • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or is a graduate of an approved RN program.
    • Active RN License to practice in the State of Georgia.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Proficient in using a computer, especially Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
    • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
