Role Responsibilities

The Respiratory Care Pract is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and professional standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds and airway conditions.
  • Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
  • Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitoring patient responses to therapies and intervening as necessary.
  • Providing support during patient transport and responding to emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) credential.
  • Associate Degree in a relevant field.
  • State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
