Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at Highland Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
About the RoleThe Nurse Manager will be responsible for coordinating the administration and clinical activities for the nursing department on a designated shift or unit. This includes serving as a resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegating responsibilities, and participating in inspections and assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the administration and clinical activities for the nursing department
- Serve as a resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making
- Delegate responsibilities to staff
- Participate in inspections and assessments
- Validate nursing staff's clinical decisions
- Develop, implement, and communicate resident's plan of care
- Monitor documentation procedures of nursing staff
- Follow up on problem areas with employees and make oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing
- Graduation from an accredited RN program required
- Three years of experience with one year of long term or sub-acute care experience required
- One year of supervisory experience preferred
- Current New York State RN licensure required
- Compliance with yearly CEU requirements
- CPR, Accucheck, and IV Therapy certification required
