Job Summary

As a Café Associate at Sam's Club, you will play a vital role in preparing fresh food items daily for our members. Your responsibilities will include following recipes, preparing our always warm and ready rotisserie chicken, and ensuring our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. You will also be responsible for sweeping, labeling, and storing merchandise, as well as helping members with their bakery orders. Your smile can make the difference between a good shopping experience and a great one.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh food items daily, following recipes and ensuring high-quality products are available in our prepared foods area.
• Maintain the Sales Floor in accordance with Company policies and procedures, including properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food, maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area.
• Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with the members of the team.
• Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications, understand and plan future productions and mass productions, and adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management, and operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
• Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area, utilizing digital tools, managing high exposure and expectations, stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, guiding peers, and providing attention to customer needs.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Be an advocate for the department and the club, valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest possible level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
