Total Safety is seeking a skilled Rescue Technician to provide technical rescue standby for customer projects, including confined space rescue and technical rope rescue. The successful candidate will also provide first aid and CPR services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess potential hazards and develop Confined Space Rescue Preplans and Rescue Safety Analyses (RSAs)
  • Conduct general air quality monitoring and recommend hazard control or personal protective equipment
  • Perform daily job briefings with customers and workers
  • Monitor job conditions and equipment resources, reporting observations and recommendations to supervisors
  • Complete daily Incident Command System (ICS) reports
  • Respond to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed
  • Maintain and inventory rescue equipment, ensuring it is in a constant state of readiness

Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant rescue experience
  • Confined Space Entrant/Attendant Certification, Healthcare Provider CPR, First Aid with AED, First Responder or better
  • Ability to inspect, clean, and perform preventative maintenance on rescue equipment

Working Environment:

  • Combination of office and field/production environments
  • Some exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions
  • Travel to and from customer sites 75% of the time

Education:

High School diploma or GED
