Construction Site Supervisor

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Supervisor to oversee site operations and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
This is a full-time position that requires at least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years as a SSHO on projects similar in size and complexity.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and extensive knowledge of building codes and general engineering principles.
The salary range for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on relevant experience, education, skills, and current market conditions in New Orleans, LA.
About the RoleAs a Construction Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations, managing and supervising all activities on-site, including confined space entry, cranes and rigging, excavation/trenching, fall protection, and electrical work.
You will conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log, which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections.
Additionally, you will complete safety inspection logs and submit them with the Contractors' daily production, review the APP and AHA for compliance with EM 385-1-1, and approve, sign, implement, and enforce them.
You will also establish a SOH Deficiency Tracking System that lists and monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution.
Other key responsibilities include ensuring subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements, formulating, recommending, and evaluating policies, procedures, and standards to ensure safety practices are consistent with prescribed federal and state regulations, managing safety training and education programs, and maintaining on-site presence at all times.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, a strong ability to adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment, collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, and build and interpret a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
