Position Title: RN - Infusion

Key Responsibilities: The RN Infusion operates under the supervision of the Infusion Therapy Manager or an appointed leader. This role requires a solid understanding, proficiency, and clinical expertise in infusion therapy practices, which encompass implanted ports, peripheral and central venous catheters, PICC lines, and non-chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatments. The RN Infusion is tasked with delivering safe patient care while being cognizant of age-specific and culturally sensitive needs. This position involves addressing the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational requirements of patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive care in complex scenarios. The RN Infusion is expected to perform job duties independently and engage in self-improvement initiatives. The role is primarily situated in an outpatient infusion center, although alternative environments may be encountered. There is potential for advancement towards achieving Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Competency, leading to the RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician position. This assignment is structured for a duration of 13 weeks, with a possibility for extension, and operates on an 8am to 4:30pm schedule.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license (Georgia or Compact)
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Chemotherapy Certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • Prior experience in Infusion (Chemotherapy competency preferred)
