Daily Responsibilities of a CDL Truck Operator

As a CDL Truck Operator, your primary duty will be to transport goods to and from designated locations. You will also be responsible for preparing, receiving, and managing the necessary documentation for the delivery or collection of items to ensure efficient service. * A satisfactory driving record is essential. A valid CDL Classification/Certification is required. You must possess the appropriate truck driver license for your state.
  • Operate a vehicle with a capacity of up to three tons, typically with six wheels, to transport materials
  • Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo
  • Organize delivery schedules
  • Deliver materials to customer-specified locations
  • Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery and assist with unloading
  • Perform Warehouse Associate duties when not engaged in driving or deliveries

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • A valid CDL License is mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience is required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capacity to remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Vision: near, far, and night vision
  • Ability to distinguish between sounds of varying pitches and volumes
  • Quick response capability (with hands, fingers, feet) to signals (sound, light, image) when they occur
