Job Summary

Penn Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical research, and educating future healthcare leaders. As a Cardiac Rhythm Analyst, you will play a critical role in our mission by monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms in the Central Monitoring Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admit patients into the system, verifying their telemetry transmitter and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Analyze and document each patient's rhythm strips, recognizing conditions that mimic dysrhythmias and taking appropriate action.
  • Notify nursing staff and Surveillance Admission Monitor (SAM) nurses of rhythm changes, demonstrating accuracy with cardiac rhythm analysis.
  • Maintain vigilance at all times, recognizing situations that require Rapid Response or Code Blue and taking appropriate action.
  • Disinfect telemetry transmitters after each patient use, performing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within job scope.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field.
