Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates within the framework of the nursing process, adhering to the ANA scope of practice to deliver exceptional nursing care. This involves integrating patient and family-centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and facilitate discharge processes. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, while recognizing the significant influence of nursing care and patient/family collaboration on health outcomes. The RN actively engages with patients and families to incorporate their insights and objectives into the care plan, while also developing educational strategies and accurately documenting learning experiences in the health record.

Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
- Candidates from non-accredited nursing programs must possess at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role, along with successful completion of the NCLEX examination.
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is essential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required within 90 days of employment.
Work Environment
This position involves full-time employment with night shifts, providing care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
