Perfusion Specialist

Job Summary
UF Health Shands seeks a skilled Perfusion Specialist to support the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in perfusion and relevant clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate extracorporeal circulation equipment to support or replace patient cardiopulmonary/circulatory function
- Monitor and manage physiologic functions, including blood pressure, temperature, and oxygenation levels
- Prepare and administer blood products and prescription solutions through bypass circuitry
- Participate in on-call schedule and provide emergency support as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Perfusion or related field
- Must obtain ABCP certification within 1 year of hire date
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Perfusionist, with letters of reference from cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, or previous supervisors
Working Conditions
This position requires regular participation in on-call schedule and may involve working variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
