Job Summary

The Virginia Hospital Center is seeking a skilled Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients.

Purpose and Scope

The scope of practice for this position is defined through the health system's credentialing and privileging committee. The Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist will support objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner
  • Support all medical activities, including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs
  • Collaborate with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services
  • Support the objectives, budget, and performance metrics of the health system

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school
  • One year of medical/surgical experience
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
