KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The cashier will execute vital register operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and assist with sales floor activities.
  • Welcome customers as they enter the store.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by helping shoppers find and purchase items.
  • Participate in cross-training for both production and sales of merchandise, as needed.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance and punctuality record.
  • Engage in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols; report any accidents, injuries, or safety issues to the designated safety personnel.
  • Follow Goodwill's policies and procedures, including fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, and credit card processing equipment accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in identifying items suitable for sale.
  • Capability to follow instructions and comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
