The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within the scope of their training and approved agreement. Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and staff, the APP ensures efficient patient flow and exceptional patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough health histories, review patient records, and develop comprehensive medical assessments.
- Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies as necessary for patient care.
- Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses, and implement therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities.
- Provide emergency care and stabilization measures as needed.
- Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status and treatment.
- Offer health care guidance and education to patients, families, and significant others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification (with 1 year ER/UC experience preferred).
- Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
- Able to multitask and work independently.
