In this role, you will serve as a key resource for department leaders and hospital administration, focusing on the development of business intelligence solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the creation of new operational metrics by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and leveraging diverse data sources to deliver timely and insightful decision support tools.
  • Utilizing your technical skills to maintain a sophisticated reporting system that is essential for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Becoming proficient in at least two Cleveland Clinic subject areas, such as patient occupancy, patient satisfaction, operating room efficiency, professional coding, and physician productivity.
  • Acting as a technical resource in analyzing and evaluating operational and financial functions related to utilization management and operational indicators.
  • Interpreting and presenting data analysis results, including the explanation of statistical and financial methodologies used, assumptions made, and a summary of findings.
  • Documenting methodologies and interpretations for future reference.
  • Creating summary and detailed reports for online dashboards and other platforms across all levels of the Cleveland Clinic using dashboard software.
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of reports, making improvements and adjustments as necessary.
  • Providing guidance to junior analysts as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a High School diploma/GED with six years of database development or analytical experience, or an Associate's degree with four years of relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirements. A Master's degree with one year of experience may also be considered.

Skills and Experience:

  • Two years of related experience is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, Access, and Arcadia is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information to administrative leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, perform work in a stationary position for extended periods, and operate a computer or other office equipment. Some locations may require the ability to travel throughout the facility and lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education, in addition to the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package.
