Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team at Imray & Gesek - Jacksonville (Park St.). As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality oral surgery services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for optimal care.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide instrumentation and materials to the treatment area, ensuring the highest level of sterility and safety.
  • Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour, trim, and polish study casts to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
  • Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions to promote optimal oral health.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant with IV sedation experience.
