Dental Assistant Professional

The Registered Dental Assistant is a key member of our dental care team, responsible for supporting the dentist during treatments, exams, and treatment discussions with patients. This role requires a strong focus on providing quality customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and prepare patients for exams, ensuring digital charting and code verification are completed with precision.
- Capture high-quality x-ray images.
- Assist the dentist with various treatment procedures.
- Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms.
- Discuss treatment options, importance, and follow-up recommended care with patients.
- Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement procedures (with required certifications).
- Support patient treatment appointment scheduling as requested.
- Sterilize instruments and adhere to cross-contamination standards.
- Create positive and uplifting patient environments through patient engagement before, during, and after visits.
- Guide parents and patients through post-care instructions.
- Assist patients with company-provided prizes and dismissal.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Texas-issued Registered Dental Assistant licensing.
- Sealant placement, nitrous monitoring, and coronal polishing certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses).
- Digital x-ray and digital charting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter, and demonstrates initiative.
- Flexible and innovative; highly adaptable to dynamic business environments.
- High engagement; supportive of leadership and role model for company values and guiding behaviors.
- Strong demonstration of task completion and dedication to detail.
- Team player and great interpersonal skills.
- Prompt and timely with work schedule.
- Amazing customer service skills, great at building relationships with new people.
Monday-Friday and 1 Saturday a month. One location - Port Arthur Smiles.
