Job Summary:

The Clinical Dietitian (PRN) is responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care to patients of all ages. This includes assessing the nutritional status of patients, providing education and counseling on therapeutic diets, and making recommendations based on medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the nutritional status of patients and provide education and counseling on therapeutic diets.
  • Make recommendations based on medical records, including supplements, nutrition support, and calorie counts.
  • Communicate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with nutrition and diabetes education, as well as community projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • One year of experience in hospital and/or community settings, or equivalent.
  • Licensure with the State Board of Examiners for Dietitians.
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Thorough knowledge of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Ability to take on-call responsibilities on weekends and/or holidays.
