Job Summary

Johnson Controls International is seeking a highly skilled Transcritical CO2 Technician to join our team. As a key member of our refrigeration systems team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of field service work, including machine operations, maintenance training, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, machine repair, modifications, programming, preventative maintenance, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field service work, including machine operations, maintenance training, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Repair and modify refrigeration systems, including programming and commissioning.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada to perform field service work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to provide timely and accurate technical information.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial/industrial refrigeration, including troubleshooting and startup of refrigeration systems.
  • Functional PC and software skills required.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and commitments required.
  • Strong diagnostics and technical capability, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and optical refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to comprehend mechanical and electrical blueprints.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: EPA or Reta courses.
  • Solid understanding of control panels, including microthermal, Carel, M&M, and Logix.
