Position Overview:

The Customer Service Technicians at Windstream are essential representatives of our prominent telecommunications brand, connecting residential clients, small enterprises, and larger corporate partners across the nation. Our technicians are passionate about technology and dedicated to linking customers with valuable products. By providing technical support and customer service, they foster meaningful relationships that lead to lasting customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain communication services for residential and business clients, including telephone, internet, and video services.
  • Utilize tools and testing equipment to deliver services across various technologies and network configurations.
  • Advise customers on products and services that meet their communication requirements.
  • Work in both underground and overhead environments, requiring skills in climbing poles and using ladders.
  • Safely operate and keep the company service vehicle organized and clean.
  • Perform duties in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Complete all necessary safety training and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Report directly to the Local Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Basic technology and mathematical skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to distinguish colors for color-coded cables.
  • Capability to use equipment with a maximum load capacity of 275 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
  • Successful completion of required safety training.
  • Willingness to work assigned schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Availability for after-hours callouts.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service or sales.
  • Relevant certifications or training related to the position.
  • Two-year technical degree in computers or electronics, or equivalent work experience.
