About the Role

As a Registered Respiratory Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway conditions.
  • Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
  • Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitoring patient responses to therapies and intervening as necessary.
  • Transporting patients who require ventilatory support.
  • Responding to emergency situations to ensure airway integrity and effective ventilation.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
  • An Associate Degree in a relevant field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within a specified timeframe.

TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 200-bed facility providing a wide range of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, and rehabilitation. We are recognized for our excellence in emergency heart and stroke care.
