Job Summary

Assists in providing a continuum of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based leisure activities designed to meet the physical, cultural, spiritual, social, cognitive/intellectual, emotional, and creative needs and interests of assigned residents.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements leisure activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being
  • Assesses residents' needs and interests to create personalized activity plans
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Provides education and support to residents and their families on leisure activities and recreation therapy
  • Maintains accurate records and reports on activity participation and outcomes
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 years of experience in recreation therapy or a related field preferred
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • American Heart Association CPR certification and First Aid training
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
