Position Overview

The Medical Imaging Specialist is tasked with executing imaging procedures. The role encompasses a variety of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. External interactions include patients, family members, and physicians. Internal interactions involve nursing staff and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general radiography imaging studies under the guidance of the Chief Technologist and Director of Imaging Services
  • Adhere to policies and procedures while delivering patient care activities and related non-professional services to ensure the comfort and needs of patients and families
  • Identify and communicate patient needs to foster a safe and comfortable care environment

Qualifications

  • Graduate or eligible for graduation with an AA degree from an accredited Imaging program or equivalent
  • Certification with the State Department of Health
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required; if registration is pending, must complete within 6 months of hire into this position
  • MA-P certification is required for those performing Phlebotomy

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we provide a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $48.32 USD. However, compensation is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, experience level, and certifications or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's years of experience.
