Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. As an IR Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm Patient Identification and Review Imaging Requests: Verify patient information, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
  • Assist with Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures: Scrub in and assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Monitor Patient Safety: Continuously monitor patients during procedures, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the physician.
  • Radiation Protection and Safety: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure patient and operator safety.
  • Operate Medical Equipment: Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps, as well as other medical equipment, to support procedures.
  • Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, including procedure details and outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret examination requests and provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications, as well as a Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI), and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds.
