About the Role

ESPN is seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Citizenship to lead the development and implementation of CSR strategies that align with the company's mission, values, and business objectives. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community engagement and philanthropic programs, and establish and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of professional work experience in CSR, Communications, or a related field, with prior leadership experience in a Corporate Outreach role or related field. They will possess expertise in managing non-profits and effective outreach programs that align with brands and businesses, as well as knowledge of the sports and media industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement CSR strategies that align with ESPN's mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Identify key areas for community impact and create programs that leverage ESPN's unique strengths in sports and media.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community engagement and philanthropic programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external partners to identify opportunities for joint initiatives and maximize community impact.
  • Develop and promote internal programs that encourage employee participation in community service and charitable activities.
  • Create compelling narratives and reports that highlight the impact of CSR initiatives and communicate these to various audiences, including employees, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Identify and secure additional funding or resources, as needed, to support CSR initiatives.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Ensure all CSR activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years professional work experience in CSR, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior leadership experience in a Corporate Outreach role or related field; OR ESPN work experience that resulted in the development of broad company knowledge, proven results, and charity involvement.
  • Expertise in managing non-profits and effective outreach programs that align with brands and businesses.
  • Knowledge of the sports and media industry.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop recommendations and influence perspective.
  • Ability to navigate financial matters.
  • Elite communication skills for verbal and written presentation.
