Job Summary:

The Medical Nutrition Specialist provides medical nutrition therapy to optimize patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective nutrition care. This role involves monitoring and evaluating patient care and nutrition outcomes on an ongoing basis, educating patients, healthcare members, and community members, and participating in process improvement activities within the Nutrition Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy using evidence-based practice
  • Consult with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective nutrition care
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care and nutrition outcomes
  • Education of patients, healthcare members, dietetic interns, and community members
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related fields (Bachelor's or Master's Degree)
  • Completed CDR-approved dietetic internship to qualify for registered exam leading to Registered Dietitian status
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Prior clinical work experience preferred
