Bonder Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Bonder Assistant to join our team at NORDAM. As a key member of our production team, you will assist in the fabrication, rework, and repair of metallic and nonmetallic bonded parts and assemblies for operational aircraft applications.

• Perform routine developmental learning assignments and apply standard solutions to problems or work situations of a routine or repetitive nature.
• Assist in determining the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, boron, flock, mat, epoxy resins, rubber, and like materials.
• Assist in planning, fabricating, and building adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic composite materials.
• Perform tasks associated with lay out, prefit, and assembly and lay-up of a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies.

• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, properly documenting work performed on such documents as process planning, adhesive log sheets, Material Review Board documents, Engineering Work Orders, Change Notices, Engineering Process Specifications, technical manuals, and like documentation.
• Must be able to use small hand tools and machinery.

While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.

Work is closely supervised and reviewed. Follows standard written or oral instructions. May need additional assistance for more complex tasks.
