We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of making communities healthier.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting, utilizing specialized skills and knowledge to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient plans, promoting patient-centered care and improving patient satisfaction.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
- Current state RN license or current multistate compact license.
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days after hire date).
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
- Current American Heart Association PALS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
- NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.
- Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
