As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, fluency disorders, head injury, stroke, aphasia, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Therapy Plans
Design and implement comprehensive therapy plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
Evaluate and Assess PatientsConduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify communication disorders and develop effective treatment plans.
Establish Treatment Goals and MilestonesWork with patients to establish realistic treatment goals and milestones, and provide ongoing support and guidance to help them achieve success.
Document Progress and Update RecordsMaintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, and update records as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
Collaborate with Healthcare TeamWork collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
A Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field is required.
Experience in Speech PathologyPrevious experience in speech pathology is preferred, but not required.
Strong Communication SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Ability to Work with Diverse Patient PopulationThe ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and with varying communication needs is critical.
