Job Title: Controller

First Choice Community Healthcare INC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our financial leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial accounting systems, including accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, employee payroll, cash disbursements, financial statements, and tax information.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement financial accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  2. Direct financial accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting of clinic financial information.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the timely payment of current liabilities to creditors, proper recording and control of cash receipts, recording of fixed assets, and development of adequate procedures, instructions, controls, records, and reports.
  4. Work with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and approve financial statements, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and analysis of variances in accounts, ratios, income/expense, and investment analysis.
  5. Review all third-party contracts and monitor contract revenues. Interact with auditors, lenders, and other third-party agencies regarding accounting functions.
  6. Develop and monitor the internal audit program to ensure internal financial controls.
  7. Oversee the annual financial audit and any other special audits.
  8. Assist with the development and implementation of the annual capital and administrative budgets as well as financial and credit policies of the clinic.
  9. Direct the preparation of statistical information and reports for management, government, and other agencies.
  10. Direct, forecast, and analyze the impact of special projects or new services and acquisitions.
  11. Assist the Chief Financial Officer and other management staff in the preparation of major clinic financial reports.
  12. Review and recommend new operating procedures.
  13. Assist with the selection and training of departmental personnel.
  14. Assist with performance evaluation and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  15. Attend a variety of meetings with management and department staff to review and discuss financial matters.
  16. Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  17. Maintain strictest of confidentiality.
  18. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor degree in finance/accounting.
  2. Minimum of three years of financial management experience, including two years in a healthcare organization.
  3. CPA preferred.
