Gentiva Health Services is a leader in hospice care, providing personalized support to individuals in need. We are seeking a skilled Caregiving Professional to join our team as a Full-Time Hospice Aide/CNA.
About the JobThis role involves working directly with patients and their families to provide emotional and physical support. As a CNA, you will assist with daily living activities, maintain a safe environment, and document patient information.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be empathetic and compassionate, and have a strong understanding of patient care principles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, ambulation, and meal preparation
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold a current CNA license
- Have at least six months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, or similar settings
- Be comfortable providing care in various settings, including patients' homes
- Demonstrate flexibility and composure in challenging situations
