UPMC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Professional Staff Nurse to join their Allergy & Immunology clinic at Children's Hospital. As a key member of the care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting clinic operations.
Responsibilities- Support clinic operations and patient care through skin prick testing, food and medication challenges, administration of asthma biologics, allergy injections, and oral immunotherapy.
- Perform phone triage, process faxes and portal messages, and submit authorizations.
- Actively participate in department or practice-specific quality improvement efforts.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and take personal responsibility in improving patient satisfaction with the quality of care and service.
- Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvement in clinical care.
- Minimum six months experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
