Must-Have:

  • Ability to perform patient evaluations using appropriate functional tests/measures, and demonstrate the ability to assimilate objective measures along with social factors, medical stability, activity restrictions, participation limitations or other relative comorbidities

Job Description:

  • Implement physician's orders for Occupational Therapy services.
  • Provide all necessary aspects of Occupational Therapy within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate the patient's return to an independent and safe lifestyle.
  • Utilize growth and development knowledge to care for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's age-specific requirements. Ensure proper and secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. Use critical thinking for patient evaluation and treatment planning.

Understand and apply moist heat, paraffin, and other physical agent modalities. Demonstrate understanding of the cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, nervous, and integumentary systems, utilizing age-specific patient care.

Identify learning needs of patients or family members. Work as a team member to assist patients and families throughout the therapy care system.

Perform physically demanding tasks using safety measures for self and others. Respond to patient needs and demonstrate initiative towards the completion of tasks.

Operate equipment such as blood pressure machines, pulse oximetry, wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices.
